Why Weight? Breaking Free from Emotional Eating - A Support Group
Update: beginning February 2009, the Why Weight? Group will be meeting on the first and third Wednesday's of the month from 10 AM to 12 Noon. If you are an emotional eater, please join a group of courageous women who create and meet within a safe and loving container twice a month to explore the roots of disordered eating.
Food is not the issue that drives us to disordered eating; the problem is much deeper than that. Disordered eating is the learned and/or developed process of using food to substitute and soothe unacknowledged and unexpressed feelings that may have started in utero and certainly in infancy or early childhood.
Please contact Caryn Aman, MA, a Jungian oriented soul therapist and a certified member of the Marion Woodman Leadership Program, by email at carynaman@msn.com, by telephone at (503) 430-8750, or go to her website at http://www.carynaman.com for more information about this group. The group is open to new members. We are currently working with Geneen Roth's book, Why Weight: Breaking Free From Emotional Eating.
