BodyMoves: Reclaiming the Body & Freeing the Voice

Join Caryn Aman, MA one afternoon a month as we begin the process of reclaiming our bodies, breathing and voices through play, movement, dreamwork, breathwork, voicework, and creativity.

In this series, we will focus on developing the personal container and ego strength allowing us to explore and discern the complexes and energies arising out of our histories. Working with our dreams as taught by Carl Jung and Marion Woodman, Jungian Analyst, bodywork, breathwork, and voicework invite us to bring forth the unconscious material and begin healing soul wounds. We will begin each session within a sacred circle.

Women's Wisdom Circles

The Sunday afternoon Women's Wisdom Circle (WWC) is undergoing major transformation. It will begin as a completely new Circle effective June 7, 2009. This group is open to any woman over 18 years old interested in joining a Jungian oriented, soul-centered educational, multi-generational sacred Women's Circle exploring the "Ages & Stages of a Woman's Life." This sacred Circle is designed for women who are interested in deepening their own personal and spiritual growth within a safe container. This sacred Circle, like Caryn's three other sacred Circles, is open to sisters, mothers, daughters, aunts, grandmothers, and friends. Currently, the other three Circles range in age from 30 to 86 years young! We will be working with the books, Women Who Run With the Wolves, by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, and Goddesses in Every Woman and Gods in Every Man by Jean Shinoda Bolen. Why Weight? Breaking Free from Emotional Eating - A Support Group

Update: beginning February 2009, the Why Weight? Group will be meeting on the first and third Wednesday's of the month from 10 AM to 12 Noon. If you are an emotional eater, please join a group of courageous women who create and meet within a safe and loving container twice a month to explore the roots of disordered eating.

Food is not the issue that drives us to disordered eating; the problem is much deeper than that. Disordered eating is the learned and/or developed process of using food to substitute and soothe unacknowledged and unexpressed feelings that may have started in utero and certainly in infancy or early childhood.
